1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Hey Gianna,
This is Sandy and thank you so much for your prayers for my MRSA. I am finally getting back on my feet, and I thank God for this. It has truly been a long haul, again thank you.
I have another question for you again if you do not mind? (“Again this is not to battle who is right or wrong”) To remind I am a convert also only in the other directon.
I enjoy reading your blog very much even though on some things we do not see things the same, but there is a phrase you use quite often which is a good one and that is “born again.”
From reading your blog when you became “born again” this is what lead you to convert. (You know to me that is fine also) My question is though what lead you to believe you were “born again” and in being so you had to leave the Church? That you could not be “born again” and remain a Catholic? What is your definition of being “born again” at this time, compared to what your definition of it was when you were Catholic?
You know I do not argue these matters, but reading much of your blog as I do, I am curious regarding these things. So if you could please answer them I would greatly appreciate it.
God Bless and thank you, Sandy
It certainly IS uplifting, thank you.
Sure is. I hope it blesses others also.
Sandy,
I am happy that you are feeling better.
To answer your question … the Catholic church teaches that a person is born again when they are water baptized. According to the scriptures, that simply is not true. I was genuinely born again 40 years after I was water baptized! If you seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, He will show you truth, but only if your heart is open. If your heart is not open you will never understand.
Read my testimony again. That will answer your question if you are truly open to the truth. I say this not to be harsh, but because unless a person is truly born again they will never see heaven.
Thank you Giannina for your reply. Yes I will read your testimony again. I understand I think though what you are saying.
Also thank you so much for the “feel good comment.” As usual thanks for the prayers, they have really been needed.
I understand you are not “being harsh” and have no problem with the statement “truly open to the truth.” Many worry about the “souls” of Catholics and from you I can take that as I truly believe that is what it is about with you. It is not about “being right.” It is when it crosses that line with me that I cease to listen.
I see your heart in many of your post and once again there is no problem. That is why I do not debate “issues” with you. I know what you have comes from your heart. I would never hurt that and have that on my conscience.
You have a lot of love Giannina to give and for others. I respect it very much. I respect very few people in this world anymore. You have always granted to me an answer when I had a question in the utmost of respect, regardless of our differences. I will never come against that.
Have a great day and God Bless, Sandy
