I have come out of Roman Catholicism in 1982 and Dispensationalism in 2003. Do you believe that somebody that is looking for the rapture and 1000 year reign will go to heaven? What scriptures will support your answer?

The scriptures below, and many others, show that salvation is a gift received by grace, through faith, in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.

Having said that, I believe the danger of dispensational teaching is that it can lead one away from “the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Believing in the isolated teachings of a “secret rapture” or a “millenium” will not send someone to hell in and of themselves (without considering anything else.) The grave danger of dispensationalism is that it distorts the true gospel and leads to “another gospel.” Christian Zioniism is a political movement that supports secular Israel blindly, without considering justice, and the welfare of all peoples. They are political and militaristic in nature and have called for pre-emptive wars. Christians are being encouraged to join the military by their pastors. By embracing this type of theology Christians can put their very souls in danger. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and He calls us to love our enemies not kill them. There are those who say we cannot fall away from the faith. This is gross error.

Romans 5:9-11 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Luke 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Luke 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

Luke 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Luke 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

Luke 6:33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

Luke 6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
