Scripture tells us yes, it is possible. My mother came to the Lord in her old age. See … ABOUT. Now the question is my father. I had almost given up hope, when recently I saw some encouraging signs. Last week I wrote … WHILE THERE’S LIFE…THERE’S HOPE. This past Sunday there was more hope. I brought Scripture verses with me which were written in Italian, my father’s first language. I read them to him, which is a miracle in itself. To our delight, my husband and I observed him as he listened with interest. My father said the Scripture was easier to understand in his native tongue. Could be. But I’m hoping it’s the Holy Spirit opening his understanding. We will continue to minister for as long as the Lord allows.

It was not so much that the words made better sense to him in his native tongue… it was the Holy Ghost whispering LIFE into his ears.

amen amen! There is ALWAYS hope for the Holy Spirit to reach someone..regardless of how old or stubborn they are. lol
My Dad was one who like many from his generation believed if you lived a good honest life, never lied, were honest, etc that you were ok with God. I prayed for him for years with no results.
During the last year of his life he became ill & bed-ridden. My mom who had been getting their ‘affairs’ in order received a phone call from a near by chapter of the Veterans association, asking if the could be of any assistance. (my dad was a WW2 vet)
The next day an elderly military Chaplin came by the house asking to visit dad…. Mom stayed in the bedroom while they visited (my dad could no longer speak, but could gesture etc)
She called me afterwards weeping with joy..this old Chaplin had led my dad to Christ. She related to me that when dad bowed his head in prayer along with the Chaplin, tears streamed down his face & she could ‘sense’ the presence of the Spirit of the Lord.
can a 91 year old man be saved? You better believe it!!
