OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES …

Matthew 21:15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,

Matthew 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Strong’s Greek Dictionary:

Hosanna …

Hosanna, from the Hebrew language; it means oh save!;

Hosanna, an exclamation of adoration;

John 12:12-16 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.  These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

PURITY – A Poem

Purity, comes from God alone,

Purity, we’ve none of our own,

Purity, one way to receive,

Purity, for those who believe.

***

Purity, not morality,

Purity, not good deeds, you see,

Purity, the heavenly kind,

Purity, cleansing heart and mind.

***

Purity, prepared for heaven,

Purity, frees from sin’s leaven,

Purity, in Christ justified.

Purity, Spirit sanctified,

***

Purity, by faith we’re made clean,

Purity, on flesh do not lean,

Purity, revealed in God’s Word,

Purity, have you ever heard?

***

Purity, abundance of peace,

Purity, sin’s sorrow will cease,

Purity, it’s salvation you want,

Purity, blood of Jesus the fount.

Hebrews 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

1Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Acts 15:8-9  And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

THINGS WE TAKE FOR GRANTED …

Life in our modern day is so busy, and as a result it may be that we seldom have time to stop and “focus” on the present moment.  In my mind’s eye that is how I view the past.  I was busy busy busy living life, and in my business it seemed as if my mother would always be there.  I wish that I had taken more time to “focus” on yesterday’s “present moment.”  Yes, there were many blessings in the end, blessings mixed with sadness, but I still think about how much more I could have done for her, or would do for her now, if my mother were still alive.  Things we take for granted.

WITNESSING TO JEWISH PEOPLE …

Over the years my husband and I have witnessed to many Jewish people, most of them elderly.  The times of witnessing have been, and continue to be, both a joy and sorrow to us.  Joy because we have the love of Christ in our hearts for the lost, and sorrow because most reject Gospel truth.  I can sense the Lord’s heart when He lamented over Jerusalem.

Time after time the Lord puts precious souls before us and gives us the opportunity to witness.  My husband always prays for “divine appointments” and God answers those prayers.  In the past few weeks we had two opportunities to witness to Jewish people.  They both occurred unexpectedly, and there was much peace and love in both conversations.  I think the people can sense that you love them even though they do not believe what you are saying.  One of the Jewish people, a man, was orthodox.  He still talks to us and is friendly even after I told him, with a smile, that we were trying to “covert” him.  The other, a woman, expressed exceptional warmth towards me even after I witnessed to her.  We have planted seeds and now leave the rest to the Lord.

What am I trying to say in all this?

Pray.

God gives opportunity.

God gives love.

Don’t be afraid.

Evangelize the Jewish people.

Christian Zionism is not the Gospel, it is Politics.

True love is expressed by evangelism.

Matthew 9:37-38  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Mark 16:15-16  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Matthew 23:37-39  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Matthew 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Matthew 23:37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
