HOPE – A Poem

Will you let hope slip away,

Will you hearken while it’s day?

Oh what darkness, oh what sorrow,

To live lost all your tomorrows.

***

This is all I want to say,

Will you let hope slip away,

And leave this world in your lost state,

Forever barred from heaven’s gate?

***

Don’t you hear the Saviour calling,

Won’t you heed His Word of warning?

Will you let hope just slip away,

And be unsaved your dying day?

***

Passing through the door of death,

Having taken your last breath,

Will you be ready for the day,

Will you let hope just slip away?
