FALSE “SECRET RAPTURE” TEACHING VS. TRUE “RAPTURE” TEACHING

Many within the church are being taught that there is a “secret rapture” and they do not realize that this teaching comes from the error of dispensational theology.  It is not a minor thing as we can see from the many who are being deceived by the teachings of Harold Camping’s “Judgment Day May 21, 2011” etc.  (There is a genuine rapture for those who are alive at the the second coming of Jesus Christ.

The secret rapture teaching is based on a series of lies …

Lie # 1 …

1. Jesus came to earth the first time to establish an earthly kingdom.

(That is not true.  In fact the opposite is true.

John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

The truth is that many did not believe Jesus was the Messiah because they were expecting an earthly ruler.)

Lie # 2

2. Because the Jews refused the earthly kingdom Jesus came to bring … God had to postpone, for a season, His original plan and go to alternate “Plan B”.

(This teaching is nowhere to be found in the bible.)

Lie # 3

3.  Under “plan A”, the “gospel of the kingdom” (law) was preached.

Under “plan B” Paul would preach a new and different gospel, the “gospel of grace” (grace).  It was a “mystery” that was revealed only to the apostle Paul.

(This teaching is nowhere to be found in the bible.

See post entitled …

THERE IS ONLY ONE GOSPEL

We can see from Scripture that it is not true that Jesus taught “law” and Paul taught “grace”.

The bible tells us …

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

“Law” was given by Moses.  “Grace” came by Jesus Christ.)

Lie # 4

4.  “Plan B” is described as a ( “parenthesis” ) in time and is called the ( “church age” ).

(This teaching is nowhere to be found in the bible.)

Lie # 5

When the “church age” ends, “plan A” would go into effect again, which includes a return to the preaching of the “gospel of the kingdom” (law).

(This teaching is nowhere to be found in the bible.)

Lie #6

Before “plan A” would be reinstated, the church would be removed from the earth in a “secret rapture”.

(This teaching is nowhere to be found in the bible.)

Lie # 7

Jesus will return to rapture those alive at the end of the parenthetical ( church age ) and then return again at the end of the world.

(The bible does not teach that the Lord’s return is in two (2) parts. There is only one “second coming” and Jesus said in Matthew 24:36 … “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.)
