Excerpt from booklet entitled THE LEGACY OF BILLY GRAHAM ...
Chapter 7, Page 34
“Graham’s whirlwind change in the early ’50’s is again evidenced by what he told Evangelist Jack Wyrtzen in a December 29, 1955, meeting. He told Wyrtzen an erstwhile supporter, that he would send his converts back to the church of their choice – whether Catholic, Protestant or Jewish. This was confirmed in a New York Evening Journal story of December 18, 1956, which quotes Dr. Graham as saying: ‘Then we’ll send them to their own churches – Roman Catholic, Protestant or Jewish. . . .’
Protestant Church Life, published by the Protestant Council of New York, which sponsored Graham’s New York Crusade, carried the following words in its September 29, 1956, edition: “Dr. Graham said, ‘We’re coming to New York, not to clean it up, but to get people to dedicate themselves to God, and then send them back to their own churches – Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish. The San Francisco News of November 11, 1957, carried a similar report: “Any one who makes a decision at our meetings is seen later and referred to a local clergyman, Protestant, Catholic or Jewish.”

[My Note …
I have shared similar information with other believers, including Pastors, and the response has not been appropriate when one considers the gravity of the information presented. Billy Graham is held in high esteem regardless of his actions.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.]
