Hath God said?
Former Roman Catholic Jesuit priest, Alberto Rivera, highlighted the fact that the devil deceives by going directly to God’s word and perverting what it says. He gave Genesis 3:1 as one example.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Another example of the devil perverting Scripture can be found in Matthew chapter 4.
Do this in remembrance of me.
Jesus tells us to remember his death.
Jesus never told his followers to remember his birth.
Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Another example of this can be found in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
So who is telling us to observe and celebrate Christmas?
Christmas is a holiday celebrated and promoted by the apostate Roman Catholic Church.
Christmas is a mixture of paganism and Christianity.
Christmas does not honor our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hath God said?
I know this is not a popular thing to say, but I do believe the current celebration of Christmas by born again Christians is another sign of the times.
