SIGNS OF THE TIMES – Infiltration Of The Protestant Church

Update:  March 2016

I wrote the post below in 2007. The apostasy has escalated. The number of Protestant Pastors singing the praises of Rome (and now singing the praises of Pope Francis) has grown rapidly. These Pastors are deceiving their flocks, and holding back the true Gospel from the Roman Catholic people. Signs of the Times. Our Protestant churches are no longer protesting. I believe our churches have been infiltrated.

I AM PURE FROM THE BLOOD OF ALL MEN

Paul the apostle said “I am pure from the blood of all men.” What a powerful statement. There was no blood on Paul’s hands because he was a faithful minister of the Gospel.

When my husband and I were born again we knew, by God’s Word and by God’s Holy Spirit, that we had come out of darkness. We knew that we had believed a false gospel, and that the Lord wanted us to witness to that truth. We were surrounded by Roman Catholic family, neighbors, co-workers, and friends, who were not saved and needed to hear the true Gospel. So witness we did. Can you imagine how shocked we were to learn that Protestant Churches were saying that “Rome” preached the true Gospel. Prominent Protestant leaders are telling us that Roman Catholics do not need to be evangelized because they are already Christians.  Now this may sound very loving, but in truth it is the exact opposite of loving.  Let me give you one small example of what I mean.

A few days ago while visiting my father in the nursing home, my husband and I met a man in his mid 80’s. He was visiting his daughter who is a resident. As we sat in the lounge and talked, he told us that he had two big statues of Mary. One, he said, was in his home, and the other was outside. He wept as he told us that every night he kneels before each statue and petitions Mary and Joseph in prayer.

At some point during this little visit my husband managed to share the Gospel with this man. I told him that I had grown up a Roman Catholic. I gently told him to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, not Mary or Joseph. When we left he called us “nice people.” I say that not to boast, but to make the point that it is possible to witness in boldness and love at the same time. This man needed clarity, and we believe the Lord put him before us on that day.

I want to make it very clear that this type of situation is the rule, not the exception. We have encountered this a multitude of times over the years, and such were we before we were saved. If withholding the Gospel from Roman Catholics is not apostasy, we must redefine the word.

How can someone pastor a church and not include Roman Catholicism in the category of “another gospel” is beyond me. It is totally and completely heartbreaking. Yet this is the case in most of the churches that I have attended in the past, and I am saved almost twenty years.

Acts 20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

Acts 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Acts 20:38 Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the

which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Acts 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Acts 20:31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Acts 20:33 I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.

Acts 20:34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Acts 20:36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

Acts 20:37 And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul’s neck, and kissed him,

“GOOD FRIDAY”

The religious world calls today “Good Friday”.

“Good Friday” is a man-made tradition, a religious observance not found in the Bible.

This morning my husband and I were remembering a “Good Friday” many years ago, before we were born again.  We were Roman Catholics at that time, and we went into Manhattan with a Catholic group to participate in a “Good Friday” procession around the city.  We were given a piece of paper on which was written a chant that we were to repeat as we followed, in procession, a young man carrying a large cross around New York City. At one point in our walk, a man looked our way and proclaimed in a loud voice … “He’s Alive!”.  The man said it in a good way, he wasn’t harsh or anything like that, but we didn’t “get it” … didn’t “get” what he was trying to tell us.  After we were born again it all became so clear.  So I write this post hoping it will make someone think about the words of Jesus, who told one and all when he walked this earth… “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. He is still telling one and all the same thing today, … if you have ears hear.

If Jesus walked the earth today, like He did over two thousand years ago, would you listen to what He had to say? Would you be one of His followers today?

There was a time in my life when I was an unbeliever, yet you would hear me say “I believe in Jesus.” I was deceived. I had very little knowledge of the things that Jesus said. What exactly was I believing if I didn’t know the Word of God? I can tell you. I was believing “man made” teachings, and doctrines of devils. Sometimes I think it’s easier to win a Muslim or a Jewish person over to Christ, than someone who thinks they already know Jesus. Jesus and Scripture cannot be separated. We are deceived if we say we believe in Jesus, yet have no interest in the Bible and the things that Jesus said.

John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We have videos of various television broadcasts on the internet, and sometimes written transcripts of those broadcasts are also made available to us so that we can read what was said. Now think about this, we don’t have to wonder about what Jesus actually said. We have His words recorded and preserved for us in the Bible. We can go to the Bible and find a true record of what transpired when Jesus walked this earth. We can go to the Bible and find out what Jesus really said. That’s amazing! Why should we depend on possibly false second hand information when we can go right to the Bible and read for ourselves what Jesus really said.

Luke 1:1-4 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Today, you and I, like those who lived over two thousand years ago, will make the most important decision that we will ever make. We will make a choice to believe the words of Jesus, or we will make a choice not to believe His words. Our choice will determine our eternal destiny, for only Jesus has the words of eternal life.

John 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

If Jesus walked the earth today, like He did two thousand years ago, would you listen to what He had to say? Would you be one of His followers today?

Acts 28:24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES – Grieved … Again

I often think that nothing in the church world would surprise/disturb me anymore.  But alas, to my dismay, it has happened again.

I heard a good sermon online on Sunday.  The Pastor was someone I’ve heard preach in person, and he is associated with names you would probably easily recognize if you are a born again Christian.  Now the problem.  I came across this same Pastor’s postings online, and in several mini posts he quotes nine (9) well known and devout Roman Catholics in a positive way.  I quit counting after 9, there could be more.  So my question is how does this happen?  How can a Pastor, so mainstream and very active in our “born again” churches, quote 9 Roman Catholics in a positive way?  Doing that is harmful for the church and it is harmful for the unsaved.

Alberto Rivera was a former Roman Catholic Jesuit priest who was gloriously born again. He told anyone who would listen that our Protestant churches were being infiltrated by the Jesuits.  Are we seeing this happen before our very eyes?  See the (Signs Of The Times Series.)

One of nine quotes was a quote by Pope John XXIII. I also read that one of this Pastor’s favorite singers is a devout Roman Catholic who sang for Pope Francis.  (I looked up the name.)

Why not quote some of the reformers?  Why not quote from Fox’s Book of Martyrs, or Martyrs Mirror?

Only the Lord knows what is going on.

All I know is …

I’m grieved … again.
