How to Create a Conscientious Objector’s (CO) File

Link… “The ability to document one’s convictions is important. Documenting these beliefs before you actually file a claim for Conscientious Objector status is particularly helpful.”

Most “born again” churches today have strayed from Biblically based “Conscientious Objector” beliefs long held and taught by the Christian churches of the past. For that reason it has become necessary for born again Christians to document their beliefs long before a draft is initiated.

The link below from the Mennonite Church is a good resource to give you an “idea” of how to document your Conscientious Objector beliefs.

Excerpt … “A CO file is a collection of faith statements, references, and other evidence that you are a conscientious objector to participation in the military. The purpose of the file is to give evidence to a draft board that your beliefs are long-held and sincere, not a ploy to avoid being sent into a specific war. Young women should also make a file, since it is likely that women would be included in a draft.”
