CHRISTMAS

Thanksgiving’s gone, another year,

The race is on, we’re in high gear.

Black Friday, the official date,

The shopping mall, our starting gate.

* 

So many trees, and twinkling lights,

Ah, gifts galore, oh what a sight!

The houses glow, adorned anew,

In colors green, red, white, and blue.

* 

The stores are packed, with brand new fare,

And soon you’ll see a Santa there.

The music very mystical,

It makes one feel so whimsical.

* 

Now clean, and cook, and decorate,

So much to do, we stay up late.

Send out the cards, and wrap the gifts,

No wonder that we need a lift.

* 

The day has come, dinner’s ready,

Family gathered, people many.

But do they know of Gospel Grace,

Dare you preach it, now, in this place?

* 

If they’re lost, what could be merry,

Sudden death would be so scarey.

Affections set on things above,

I say these things because I love.

* 

His death remember, that He said,

Not day of birth, we’re so misled.

What have these earthly things to do,

With Jesus Christ who died for you?

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

I am posting this video… THE ROMAN CATHOLIC EUCHARIST: THE DECEPTION OF WORSHIPING A PIECE OF BREAD …to refute a false teaching that I recently became aware of by Pentecostal preacher Benny Hinn. (I know the Benny Hinn Rome connection is nothing new, but it still shocked/disturbed me to hear what he said.) I heard him highly exalt the Roman Catholic eucharist. I do believe that there are many Christians who listen to his false teachings and are influenced by what he says.

Is Benny Hinn a Roman Catholic?

Is he a Jesuit … a “pied piper” … leading many of his hearers to Rome?

The institutional organized church has been infiltrated!

THE ROMAN CATHOLIC EUCHARIST: THE DECEPTION OF WORSHIPING A PIECE OF BREAD

Love a Roman Catholic today. Be a witness for Jesus and preach the Gospel to them. That Roman Catholic that you love so much is in a very dangerous place. Sometimes, even as believers, we fail to grasp the true horror of someone believing the false gospel of Rome. My mom was genuinely saved (and witnessed to my father) after many many years of our witnessing to her and praying for her. I thank  the Lord he set her free. I thank the Lord he set me free. Let’s not forget those who are still in Satan’s grasp. 

A CUP OF COLD WATER

Jesus promises a reward for showing the smallest kindness, even just giving a cup of cold water, to one of his followers. These words are rarely heard in today’s church.

Matthew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

The Dispensational teachers of our day tell us we will be blessed if we bless unbelieving Israel, quoting the following Scripture.

Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 12:3 is taken out of context, causing many within the church to embrace a twisted meaning of this beautiful Scripture.

Jesus never honored unbelieving Israel.

Jesus wept over unbelieving Israel.

Matthew 23:37-38 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Paul never honored unbelieving Israel.

Paul had great sorrow of heart for his lost Jewish brethren.

Romans 9:2-3 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh.

It is dangerously misleading to teach that the Jewish people are blessed in their unbelief, because the truth is that the wrath of God is upon them.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Scripture is very clear in telling us that a person cannot have God as their father if they deny Jesus Christ, the Son.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Scripture clearly identifies Abraham’s true seed.

Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

The blessing of Abraham.

The promise of the Spirit.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Abraham’s true seed, according to the promise.

Galatians 3:
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Romans 9:
6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

If we truly want to bless the Jewish people we will preach the Gospel to them, and pray for their salvation.  

The true promised reward, not for blessing unbelieving Israel, but for showing the smallest kindness, even just giving a cup of cold water, to anyone who is a disciple of Jesus Christ.

PROCLAIM THE LORD’S DEATH TILL HE COME

O HOW I LOVE JESUS

I remember someone witnessing to me many years ago when I was a Roman Catholic.  They gave me some biblically based literature which included revealing the anti-biblical person/position of the Roman Catholic Pope of Rome.  Way back then, after reading the material I was given, I had two reactions that I clearly remember.  One was interest (I read it all)  and the other was a type of fear.  I hid the literature.  It’s truthful contents sounded very strange to me.  I didn’t want anyone to see it, so I hid it, … BUT … I didn’t throw it out.  

The truths that were presented  to me went against the grain of the beliefs that I had held dear for almost 40 years of my life.  They were beliefs held by the multitudes.  These truths that I read were so strange, different, and scary to me at that time.  They couldn’t be true, … or could they.

In time the Lord sent someone else to gently but boldly witness to me, and I was lead to the path of searching for the truth.  I found that truth in God’s Word, the Bible, and I was born again.

We do not gauge truth by popular opinion.  Just because “everybody” does it or believes it doesn’t make it true or right. We as born again Christians know that oh so well.

Some food for thought…

In our day there is a widespread embrace of remembering the birth of Jesus Christ.   It’s called Christmas.  This Roman Catholic Christmas is accepted as a legitimate Christian observance even by born again Christians.  I would say again … just because “everybody” does it or believes it, doesn’t make it true or right. 

Jesus did say to remember … remember His atoning death… for sinners like me and you…

“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew [proclaim, promulgate:–declare, preach, shew, speak of, teach] the Lord’s death till he come.” 

Proclaim the  Lord’s atoning death for lost sinners…

Do it in remembrance of Jesus…

Matthew 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

For the love of Jesus…

Romans 5:8-11 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

O HOW I LOVE JESUS

 

AN ENEMY HATH DONE THIS…

I took this Christmas display photo (see photo below) a few years ago at a store in my area.  This year as I walked through the same store and I again looked at their yearly Christmas display I thought … “an enemy hath done this”.  Then I thought … to associate the “Christmas holiday” and this display with Jesus, Almighty God, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords is surely blasphemous.
