“Beware the New Israel Bible

A recent ad in Charisma Magazine promotes the new Israel Bible as a means of bridging the gap between Christians and Jews

Publishers of New Israel Bible Seek to Break Long-Standing Division Between Jews, Christians

In reality this is a ploy by unsaved Jews to deceive Christians into believing they don’t need the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The so called division between Christians and Jews is simply the belief by Christians that no one can be reconciled to God outside the redemptive work of Christ. We believe that full redemption has come and is available to both Jews and gentiles through the finished work of Christ. Jews do not believe this as is obvious from what Charisma describes as a “heartfelt message from the publisher:”

“May The Israel Bible be a small contribution toward bringing about the final redemption of Israel and the world.”

If you go to their website you will see that the Israel Bible is not really a bible at all. It is simply the 24 books of the Hebrew bible, known as the Tanakh, omitting the New Testament altogether.

Among The Israel Bible’s features are:

o An exclusive collection of maps, charts and illustrations that bring the land of Israel to life.

o Hundreds of study notes that illuminate the wisdom of Jewish sages.

o Contemporary commentary highlighting the role of the modern State of Israel in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

The “study notes that illuminate the wisdom of the Jewish sages” is straight from the Talmud which Jews hold as superior to scripture. I have no doubt that Christian Zionists will soon be quoting the wisdom of Jewish sages as if it were scripture.

..not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth. Tit 1:14

If you are still not convinced perhaps these warnings from their website comment section will open your eyes.

– Comments must not promote a Christian agenda such as proselytizing.

– Comments should stay focused on the Hebrew Bible and not refer to Christian Scripture.

– Any comments that do not comply with these guidelines may be removed from the site.

In the first century, Pharisaical Jews were openly hostile to Christians. Well before Rome began persecuting Christians, Jews were fulfilling that role with gusto. A glance at the book of Acts confirms this from the stoning of Stephen to the plot to assassinate Paul.

Today these advocates of Judaism have changed tactics. Now they want to convince you that they are your buddy. Their goal of eliminating Christianity from the face of the earth hasn’t changed. Only now they come at you with a smile instead of stones. They are happy to take your tourism dollars and money to support Jewish causes while rejecting your savior. Don’t be fooled.

Jews and Christians do not worship the same God. Jesus told those who rejected him they were not sons of Abraham but sons of the devil.

They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. …….. Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me………..You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:39-44

John reiterates this in his epistle.

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 1John 2:22-23

All of these passages speak against the so called Jewish sages, modern day Rabbis, as well as the Christian Zionist Judaizers who support them. Do not be deceived folks.

We implore you to reject these attempts to subvert the word of God and the work of Christ as it pertains to the Jewish people. They need the gospel and there is no other means of salvation for them. If you really love the Jewish people you will tell them the Messiah has come and his name is Jesus of Nazareth.”

MATT MAHER… A Musical Evangelist For Rome

Matt Maher is a popular songwriter and worship leader in the Evangelical world. His music is heard in our Evangelical Protestant churches. You may not recognize his name, but you will probably know his songs. The thing is that he is also a devout practicing Roman Catholic. I wasn’t aware of that until recently.

If you read FOX’S BOOK OF MARTYRS and MARTYRS MIRROR you will learn that many born again Christians were martyred because they stood against the soul damning false Gospel of Roman Catholicism, especially the false teaching of the Eucharist and Transubstantiation. 

Matt Maher has been quoted as saying… “It’s funny but more and more I see myself as an apologist and as an evangelist.” 

If you read about Matt Maher around the web you will learn that…

– He believes that the Eucharist IS Jesus and the center of his Catholic faith.

– He is quoted as saying… “…there are things we sing about from a Catholic context. … I think the Eucharist is  just inherently a part of Christianity…”

– He writes worship songs promoting Roman Catholic beliefs, such as “Adoration”, a song sung during Roman Catholic Eucharistic adoration.

– He refers to Pope Francis as the “Holy Father” and has performed for the Pope on more than one occasion.

– He has been called a musical missionary.

– His goal is ecumenical unity and calls his music “a different kind of ecumenism”.

We born again Christians do not believe the Roman Catholic Gospel that Matt Maher believes, and we should guard against Roman Catholic evangelism through the subtlety of music. (Maybe not so subtle!)

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

HILLSONG MUSIC… Another path to Rome

Hillsong… (churches and worship songs) …yet another path to Rome?

It came to my attention that a Roman Catholic mass was held at Hillsong Phoenix. Hillsong churches identify as non-denominational. Terry Crist (lead pastor of Hillsong Phoenix) promotes Roman Catholicism.

Excerpt from “Why I Stopped Singing Hillsong“… “From a marketing and communication perspective, this is genius! Each one is designed to feed the other. Hear the song in church? Buy the album. Like the album? Come to a Concert. Like the Concert? Come to a Conference. Like the Conference? Attend our college, join our church, etc. All MOVEMENTS have an agenda and need to be scrutinized…”

Why I Stopped Singing Hillsong

So, to outward seeming, my life may be rough and solitary and inconspicuous and sad, but, in inner reality, it may have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, and have angels for its guardians, and all the firstborn for its brethren and companions.
