My Mom (Jennie) was born again when she was in her late 80’s. She went to be with the Lord in 2007. 

LOVE FROM ABOVE

Love your parents, love each one,

Love them for the good they’ve done,

Love them hard and love them long,

Love them still when they are wrong.

Love them young when all is bright,

Love them old in dark of night,

Love them oh so joyfully,

Love them in humility.

*

Love them with what matters most,

Love them in the Holy Ghost,

Love them truly from your heart,

Love them dear before you part.

*

Love a gift from God above,

Love is lasting, only love.

When their time on earth is spent,

You’ll have treasure heaven sent.

    Very uplifting posts, (with a few tears in-between), regarding your mother. Faith works by love. It is apparent that lots of seed was sown and watered over the years in your household and the LORD gave the increase. Your patience and endurance are examples for us all. You will have your treasure in heaven. May the LORD bless you abundantly.

    • Thank you Deborah, for taking the time to read, comment and encourage. I pray the Lord’s abundant blessings be upon you and yours as well, and I that He continue to work in the lives of our loved ones.

      After her second stroke, my Mom was hospitalized for a month before she died. During that month she had the sweetest Christian nurse caring for her. (Not a private nurse, just a nurse on the hospital staff.) And when her room was changed for some reason, the nurse amazingly moved with her. That was all the Lord’s doing. I was so grateful.
