Forgiveness is a beautiful thing…

Botham Jean’s Brother, Brandt, Forgives Amber Guyger

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

  1. What Botham Jean’s brother did was God’s amazing love and grace on display for the world to see!!! Sadly, I saw many Christians decrying what he did, basically saying he didn’t understand that justice needed to be served. I totally disagree!!! This man lost his brother! He saw and heard the horrible details in the trial! If anyone knew about the justice that needed to be served, it was him! Our natural bend would be to lock up the murderer and throw away the key! And our natural bend would be to hate this woman who murdered an innocent man! But Botham Jean’s brother saw that woman as God sees her! He saw a woman who was definitely guilty, and definitely deserving of punishment, and he became a minister of the hope of Christ to her!!! He went where sadly, many of us Christians forget about when we are the ones who have to do the forgiving! Yes! It was unnatural! That’s because we are supposed to operate and walk in the Spirit, not the flesh! And in doing so, he gave that woman hope, and the WHOLE world got to see it on display as it went super viral!!! Wow!!! Praise the Lord for Botham Jean’s brother! I pray God uses that to draw many others to Himself!

    • Beautifully said Paul! And I too pray “God uses that to draw many others to Himself!”

Psalm 107:31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
