It’s that time of year again. Besides turkey, we have Black Friday sales and pre Black Friday sales, all in preparation for the big day… Christmas! But what has all this to do with Jesus our Savior? Can you picture the apostle Paul Christmas shopping, or going around wishing everyone a Merry Christmas? Can you picture Peter doing that? How about Jesus? This is crazy what we as born again Christians are doing! (I don’t do it anymore.) And it is without a doubt unbiblical to celebrate a Roman Catholic day that is pagan at its roots! Some food for thought as we enjoy our Thanksgiving dinners.
CHRISTMAS – A Poem
Thanksgiving’s here, another year,
The race is on, we’re in high gear.
Black Friday, the official date,
The shopping mall, our starting gate.
*
So many trees, and twinkling lights,
Ah, gifts galore, oh what a sight!
The houses glow, adorned anew,
In colors green, red, white, and blue.
*
The stores are packed, with brand new fare,
And soon you’ll see a Santa there.
The music very mystical,
It makes one feel so whimsical.
*
Now clean, and cook, and decorate,
So much to do, we stay up late.
Send out the cards, and wrap the gifts,
No wonder that we need a lift.
*
The day has come, dinner’s ready,
Family gathered, people many.
But do they know of Gospel grace,
Dare you preach it, now, in this place?
*
If they’re lost, what could be merry,
Sudden death would be so scarey.
Affections set on things above,
I say these things because I love.
*
His death remember, that He said,
Not day of birth, we’re so misled.
What have these earthly things to do,
With Jesus Christ who died for you?

John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
1 Corinthians 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1 Corinthians 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1 Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

It’s a grief to see Jesus so misrepresented and mocked. The world loves this day but they hate Jesus. That should be a big clue.

To me all my questions that I began to have after leaving Roman Catholicism have been answered by God through Jesus the Christ and through The Bible! FREEDOM SWEET FREEDOM!!

I was a huge “celebrater” I went all out-it was a shock to my kids when I finally said I’m done with this…
My kids have never been in need of anything but our Lord 🙏🏻
I could go on and on but my duty is to love and be honest about what I believe the Good Lord has shown me 💕 I KNOW I could not have made it up because it surely would have been a lot easier to stay in RCC and to keep up with the worldly traditions!!!

Yes it surely was the Lord that brought us out. Think of the reformers, the martyrs burnt at the stake, and Martin Luther with his “Here I Stand.” Well, it’s our time to stand!

One more thing (maybe 😉) I believe I witness more NOT celebrating-people are some what taken a back when they find out how much I love the Lord and that while I was yet a sinner He died for me-I can tell them I surely do believe in God-and what He did for me when i called out to Him when I wanted to die…then goes from there 🙏🏻😭❤️

Yes, because it gives you an opportunity to witness. I will remember that!
I came out of a very dark life and I don’t want anything (by God’s grace) to come between me and my Savior, who I love with all my heart! I always thank the Lord for including me in His family, especially when I’m feeling excluded in this world. He took me into His family!!! How awesome is that!

I do regret not seeking the truth sooner about “christmas”- because I would have not done it sooner-but I can’t dwell on it-the only difficult thing I find is dealing with my grandkids….

My grandkids lived next door to me for 13 years as they grew up. (Not anymore.) My daughter celebrates fully and I don’t. Difficult? Yes, but not impossible. We blessed them on their birthdays and at other times, times that came naturally. The youngest is now 16. I do not believe they love us any less, nor were they harmed in any way by this. I believe it was and still is a testimony to the truth. Is it still difficult? Yes, but not because I miss Christmas in any way at all, but because there is not unity in Christ.

“I don’t miss Christmas in any way at all, but because there is not unity in Christ.”-AMEN to that!!!
My kids have accepted my rejection- and our grandkids are well loved 💕 So much so that they always want to come and never want to leave 🙏🏻❤️

That’s a testimony in itself, that they love coming to your house. Mine were the same way when they were little. Miss those days.
