THE ROSARY AND THE SEDUCTION OF EVANGELICALS

Excellent post at Lighthouse Trails…

Pope Francis/Vatican Launch eRosary to Help Bring About “World Peace

Excerpt… “with Christian leaders like Beth Moore and Rick Warren (who are followed by millions) doing their part to show the evangelical church that there is nothing seriously wrong with linking arms with Rome, maybe the eRosary will be attractive to evangelical young people as well. That is not as far fetched as it may sound to some…”

Not far fetched at all!

I can think of two instances when Protestant women were lured into praying the rosary.

The first was at the former large non-denominational church we attended. My husband was in the lobby of the church where people often fellowshipped after or before a service. A woman we knew who attended the church told him that she had joined a Catholic Charismatic prayer group. My husband warned her. He said they’ll have you praying the rosary before long, The lady looked at him and said I feel sick. They already have me praying the rosary!

The second was at the nursing home where we held Sunday services for the residents. One Christian woman who grew up in the Evangelical church told us she had joined a Catholic prayer group at the nursing home. I warned her. I told her they would want to teach her the rosary. She said she was already learning it! As we spoke she told me that when she was young her mother warned her about Roman Catholicism. I think she may have had Catholic friends that were leading her astray. She told me her mother warned her to stay away. I told her your Mother’s prayers were heard because here I am in love to warn you again.

  1. Reblogged this on I ONCE WAS LOST and commented:
Beware!!! We are not to be unequally yoked!!! The Lord our God says so!!!

    ❤️ 2 Corinthians 6:14-17

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

I am here to tell you that they are pushing the rosary and Marian worship BIG TIME! I witnessed it at my father in law’s funeral “mass”!
It took everything I had not to stand up and ask that Roman Catholic priest if he new that he was telling a big fat lie???
    😭😭😭

    • It seems that this “push” towards Mary worship and ecumenism is escalating at a rapid pace, along with a lot of other things that are going on in the world.

Salvation brings deliverance from praying to Mary. How can a person be truly born again and still pray to Mary. Not possible!

      Matthew 7
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    • The Bible verse that set me free from praying the rosary and praying to Mary…

      1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

There is nothing wrong with Christians praying for world peace, but it is unbiblical to pray to Mary, or to pray the rosary as I did before I was truly born again. I encourage you to read the Scriptures with an open heart as I did over 30 years ago when I asked similar questions to a born again woman the Lord put in my path. I was almost 40 years a Roman Catholic. I was religious but not saved. Rome does not preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They preach a different gospel that will not save anyone. Nor is Rome’s faith Christian. When I was a Roman Catholic I was not a Christian, although I thought heaven would be my home. Because things said in writing cannot convey the tone of things said, I always like to add that I would speak to my Mom in a similar way when she was alive and I was witnessing to her. Clearly and in love. I loved my mother dearly and I wanted her to know the truth and I wanted to see her in heaven one day. So I speak to you…

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

1 Corinthians 24:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

        • Yes Jackie it is as you say. Before I was born again I said rosaries and novenas and had statues in my home. I visited Marian shrines, I trained to be a eucharistic minister, and I was present at the “adoration of the blessed sacrament”. Idolatry all of it! And I was clueless until I started to read the Bible seeking truth and was born again. Ohh 😯 the Power of God that set me free from such demonic strongholds! I will be eternally grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for having mercy on a wretch like me!

          • Jackie sometimes I have to remind myself that I was a Roman Catholic in the past. Truly “old things are passed away”. That was over 30 years ago. Seems like another life. We have learned that we can warn, but few heed that warning, just as the Lord said.

And I agree, it’s always been by grace.

No, life is not a bowl of cherries. There’s many disappointments and sorrows of heart. But I have learned that the Lord is able to keep us peaceful and joyful through it all. And we have so much to look forward to. \o/

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

            Blessings…
