I REMEMBER…

Memories…

I remember the days when I was first saved when I was born again by the Spirit of Christ into the Kingdom of God. The year was 1988.

I remember reading the Bible and understanding that Jesus is the Savior for the whole world, and the only mediator between God and man. No other way to heaven but through Jesus. Wow!

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

I remember telling that to my husband (who wasn’t saved yet) and he said… what about all the other religions.

I remember when I typed up several Scriptures that refuted all the errors we had learned in the Catholic Church, and weeping handed them to him. He read what I gave him, and then started to read the Scriptures on his own. In a short time he was born again too!

I remember when we threw out our rosary beads, and all the other idols and ungodly items that were in our home.

I remember our first zeal to evangelize, and when we bought Bibles for everyone in our family, and shared the Gospel with them.

I remember the joy when we were both baptized!

I remember worshiping the Lord as a new believer, among other believers in a large congregation. Beautiful beautiful worship. True worship.

I remember when I first heard the lyrics from “The Mighty One Of Israel” … His voice shall be heard, In the Power of His Word … it was as if the Lord was talking directly to me as I sang.

I remember the first joys of my salvation, and I am so very very grateful that the Lord brought me into His family!

Psalm 145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
