No. America is not the/a city set on a hill. Perhaps it may have been at one time, but it is definitely not today. Maybe it never was…..
At one time we were the largest exporter of the Gospel message, of missionaries, of Church builders. Forgive me if I sound sarcastic, but the U.S. is in need, desperate need of missionaries ourselves. Seems I recall the late David Wilkerson making a similar statement years ago. A book, ‘Lost in the Pews’ brought the truth of this home to me. The author (rightly) pointed out the huge number of people who regularly attended Church who were spiritually lost.
You can’t give off what you don’t possess.

So true Juanita. You are correct when you say the U.S. is in desperate need of missionaries ourselves. Not only are they lost in the pews but some are lost in the pulpits. Seems like when I look around the organizational church world so much is honored and exalted above the Lord if you know what I mean. I remember hearing a pastor several years ago end his prayer by saying “in his name”. I thought “in his name???” That’s where we are today.

Quite some time I read a quote from Leonhard Ravenhill.
Our pulpits are full of dead men preaching dead sermons to dead people
