It was in early 2000 that we decided we wanted to sell our home and move to a different location. When the realtor and his son (they were a team, they were Christians, and they were a real blessing to us) came to appraise our home they were pleased with the upgrades we had done and the way the house looked, except for one thing, the dark brown rug! They thought it would hinder the sale of the house. (There was a season in my life that I just loved dark brown rugs. 🤦♀️ Thankfully that has passed. 🙂) When the realtors told us that, I responded by telling them that the Lord would send a buyer who loved dark brown rugs. 🙂 Well not too long after that, the house did sell, and we had an opportunity to chat with the buyer for a few minutes. During our short conversation the lady commented on the dark brown rug and how much she loved it! I was so blessed by the Lord’s faithfulness, and how He is involved in every aspect of our lives! 🙌
1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I love telling my grandchildren this testimony.
Psalm 78:4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
Love this!!!

Amen, God is so faithful even in the minutiae of our lives. Quite a testimony Cathy. Now that is faith in action. It causes me to ponder the big picture of how your trust in God that with your faith, and no concerns, just believing He would send someone who loved dark brown rugs.
I like to imagine how God orchestrates all the events that take place behind scene to bring this one person to your home, all based on your trust in God that he would send someone to buy your house, who also liked dark brown rugs. I may be over thinking this, but I love to hear testimonies, and so does our Heavenly Father. Thank you for sharing. ❤🙌

Susan, I wish I had that kind of faith for everything I pray for. Sometimes I wonder if the Lord gives us an extra does of faith sometimes in certain circumstances. I also wonder how the Lord orchestrates “Divine appointments”. We had a couple of those recently and we wonder… “Lord, how did you do that!”

That’s when I draw strength from Romans 8:28. 🙏

As you say, Cathy. the Lord is involved in even what may appear to others as “the trivial matters in our lives”. But He is big enough to see every aspect of them! “His eye seeth every previous thing…” (Job 28v10)

So often we testify of the great wonders that the Lord has done in our lives, but there are so many “little things” that that He also does for us, and as we remember them they continue to be a blessing!
