FOR MANY THE WORD “PROTESTANT” HAS LOST IT’S MEANING

The other day I found a beautiful worship song by Don Moen on YouTube. I don’t know anything about Don Moen, nor do I follow his music. I was going to post a link to the song I liked, but then I wondered if he was ecumenical. I Googled “Don Moen Roman Catholicism” and this is what I found…

“Don Moen: the Protestant who sang for the Pope”

Apparently Don Moen sang for Pope John Paul before John Paul became pope, and he also sang for pope Francis at an interfaith ecumenical event at St. Peter’s Square. The event was organized by charismatic Catholics.

For many, the word Protestant has lost it’s meaning. Not me! I’m still protesting against the counterfeit gospel of Roman Catholicism that has sent and is sending multitudes to hell.

Matthew 24:3-4 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

  1. ❤️ Matthew 5:11-13

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

    • We were just talking about Jesus saying we would be hated etc. The sad part in our day is that it’s not only the world but also at times it is the organized institutional church that rejects us. 😞 As it was, so it is. There’s nothing new under the sun.
