FLEEING OUT OF SODOM

Contents:
1. Sodom is a city of filthiness and abominations
2. Sodom is a city appointed to destruction
3. It’s destruction is exceedingly dreadful
4. It’s destruction is universal
5. It’s destruction is everlasting
6. It’s destruction is swift and sudden 
7. Nothing in Sodom is worth looking back upon 
8. Messengers from God warn us to make haste and not to look back

Application of the Doctrine 
1. Your destruction is infinitely more dreadful 
2. Your destruction is greater 
3. Multitudes were suddenly seized by wrath 
4. You will never get any farther 
5. Consider how many have fled to the mountain while you yet remain in Sodom
6. Backsliding after this will tend to seal a man’s damnation 
7. A great part of the wicked world faces some outward temporal destruction 
8. Consider your exceeding proneness to look back”

I DON’T UNDERSTAND

I’ve been thinking that Billy Graham probably has had more influence on born again believers than I ever gave him credit for.  Why do I say that?  Because so many Christians that I come into contact with do not seem to understand that the Roman Catholic Church does not preach the true Gospel.  It’s that simple, yet many will not be persuaded of that fact.  That includes Pastors also.  And it seems that even if they do know they will not speak about it publicly.  Hmm.  If silence had prevailed in the past the Reformation never would have happened.  There also would have been fewer martyrs.  I don’t understand how Christians can categorize the Mormon religion as a cult, the Jehovah Witnesses as a cult, but categorize Roman Catholicism as one of the valid Christian denominations.  Hmm.  Billy Graham … well respected … yet yoked with Rome for years … has done tremendous damage to the Body of Christ.  But who will listen?  When I speak about this to believers it seems to fall on deaf ears.  I don’t understand, but I guess I do …

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

FALSE DOCTRINES OF HYPER-DISPENSATIONALISM

A false teaching known as Hyper or Ultra-Dispensationalism is being taught in today’s church world.  What follows is a small sampling of Ultra Hyper-Dispensationalism’s false teachings …

False:  The four Gospels were for the Jewish people and have no application to the Church today because they are “law” and not “grace”.

False: The words of Jesus Christ were for the Jewish people and have no application to the Church today because His words are “law” and not “grace”.

False:  “The Great Commission” was for the Jewish people and has no application to the Church today because the words of Jesus … “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” is “law” and not “grace”.

False:  The Gospel salvation message preached by Jesus Christ (and also preached by Peter and the other apostles) is not for the Church today.  We are told that Paul preached a “different” gospel message, a mystery revealed only to him, which is for the Church today.

False:  Repentance, water baptism, and the Lord’s Supper are not for the church today because they are “works” and not “grace”.

Hyper-Dispensationalsim perverts the true Gospel and twists the teachings of Scripture.
