I heard someone give a short devotional yesterday. He said he was thinking about someone who just won quite a bit of money in a lottery, but then he redirected his thoughts to three things that money couldn’t save him from.
1. Money couldn’t save him from sickness.
2. Money couldn’t save him from death.
3. Money couldn’t save his soul.
Proverbs 11:4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
Proverbs 23:5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

Charge them that they trust not in uncertain riches. Nothing is more uncertain than the wealth of this world; many have had much of it one day and been stripped of all the next. Riches make themselves wings, and fly away as an eagle.

Riches are uncertain because they may soon be taken away. No dependence can be placed on them in the emergencies of life.
A man whose house is in flames, or who is shipwrecked, or whose child lies dying, or who is himself in the agonies of death, can derive no advantage from the fact that he is richer than other people;
He is very likely to feel that he is not dependent on God. It is for this cause that God has recorded so many solemn declarations in his word respecting the instability of riches, and that he is furnishing so many instructive lessons in his providence, showing how easily riches may suddenly vanish away.

I left the comment below at a YouTube site that promotes the Marian apparitions at Medjugorje. My husband and I both came out of that deception. Someone clearly witnessed to me, telling me about the error of praying to Mary. I then witnessed to my husband. I wrote the following comment hoping there was someone whose heart was open to the truth.
