A NEW BELIEVER’S AMAZING DISCERNMENT

What follows is an interesting comment from my husband’s site related to the video Romanism, Relics and the Worship of Body Parts and Other Things. These comments were written by a new believer. I previously posted her testimony here.

“I’m feeling so blessed you wrote this. I was Roman Catholic for 47 years until God opened my eyes last January 2018 and the eyes of my family within the next few weeks. I’ve written my testimony on your platform before.

We’ve been going to a Bible based non-denomination church since March 2018. The set up of the church is like a theatre, with seats arranged in an ascending slope from the stage to the back entrance, and the stage in front is where the singers and musicians lead the praise and worship and the pastor preaches. There is no pulpit for the preacher. So the stage is BARE, with this exception of the microphones and musical instruments. The ONLY decoration on the stage is a plain rustic wooden cross… no image or words or anything else on it.

*

However, it was depressing (and seemed almost VULGAR) to me, when during the month before Christmas and upto Christmas (yes, Catholic advent season) as extra stage decoration they had these four 3ft tall wooden structures in the shape of ‘Christmas’ trees and focus lights on each of the four.

*

I told the pastor face-to-face that it was pagan to have those on stage (just like putting up the golden calf in Exodus). He replied that he knew about the pagan origins of Christmas, but that’s not what the trees meant. I even pointed him to the Bible, Jeremiah 10 about the pagan trees. But he just nodded his head in agreement. I was just burning from within, I just wanted to speak out for my Lord and I asked him why did he talk about and celebrate Jesus’ birth during this season, when it ALL dates back to Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz (all satanic pagan worship) and has NOTHING to do with Jesus. When in fact Jesus wasn’t even born in the winter, because the shepherds wouldn’t be out at night with the sheep. He said he knew, but he was going to have to “agree to disagree with me”. 😢

*

I felt so defeated, because instead of educating the flock with the truth and history of pagan origins of Christmas, he was allowing the church to go along with the pagan Roman Catholic Church timings of Advent and Christmas, when in reality not even the Apostles celebrated Jesus’ bday nor did Jesus ask us to.

*

Since I felt so defeated, I asked him how would he like if his wife couldn’t remember his (pastor’s) bday and she could only remember her ex-boyfriend’s (her husband’s enemy/rival) bday, and what if she asked him if it was okay for her to celebrate her husband’s bday on her ex-boyfriend’s bday? Would he appreciate that? Finally, the pastor felt insulted (I could see it in his face). I immediately told the pastor “what you’re feeling right now is exactly what God feels. He is a jealous God.”

*

I even quoted Samuel 15:22 “obedience is better than sacrifice”, but since he was feeling most agitated and had to get ready for the next service, I wished him goodbye and left.

*

However, the next Sunday, the same stupid trees on stage, and worse … they were singing Christmas carols… and now that we’re awake, we know who those were sung to 😢 ‘round yon virgin mother and child, holy infant so tender and mild’. My most loved Christmas carol Silent Night had become an abomination for me from December 2018. I finally stopped going to church services during the season until after the pagan New Year celebrations were over and done with too, and then comes in Good Friday and Easter😂

*

Fortunately, my full family didn’t attend Good Friday service and we aren’t attending ‘Easter’ either. Although we LOVE praise and worship singing in church, and listening to the pastor’s message, we just don’t want to go through the welcome committee at the front doors  at church and all that fake greeting of ‘Happy Easter’ when we don’t even believe it anymore.

Jesus was crucified BEFORE Passover. In fact Jewish Passover started sundown April 18. So we made five chapatis (Indian unleavened bread) and put some grape juice in little wine glasses, we read and reflected on Exodus 12 and Luke 24, we ate the bread and drank the grape juice as a sign of remembrance of our real Passover Lamb and we concluded with Ephesians 6 ‘Putting on the full armour of God’ and family prayer.

*

That felt so fulfilling.

*

We’ve tried sharing the truth of pagan origins of these holidays with our family, friends and Christian colleagues, but their pride comes in the way of listening or accepting the Truth.”

“GOOD FRIDAY”

The religious world calls today “Good Friday”.

“Good Friday” is a man-made tradition, a religious observance not found in the Bible.

This morning my husband and I were remembering a “Good Friday” many years ago, before we were born again.  We were Roman Catholics at that time, and we went into Manhattan with a Catholic group to participate in a “Good Friday” procession around the city.  We were given a piece of paper on which was written a chant that we were to repeat as we followed, in procession, a young man carrying a large cross around New York City. At one point in our walk, a man looked our way and proclaimed in a loud voice … “He’s Alive!”.  The man said it in a good way, he wasn’t harsh or anything like that, but we didn’t “get it” … didn’t “get” what he was trying to tell us.  After we were born again it all became so clear.  So I write this post hoping it will make someone think about the words of Jesus, who told one and all when he walked this earth… “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. He is still telling one and all the same thing today, … if you have ears hear.

If Jesus walked the earth today, like He did over two thousand years ago, would you listen to what He had to say? Would you be one of His followers today?

There was a time in my life when I was an unbeliever, yet you would hear me say “I believe in Jesus.” I was deceived. I had very little knowledge of the things that Jesus said. What exactly was I believing if I didn’t know the Word of God? I can tell you. I was believing “man made” teachings, and doctrines of devils. Sometimes I think it’s easier to win a Muslim or a Jewish person over to Christ, than someone who thinks they already know Jesus. Jesus and Scripture cannot be separated. We are deceived if we say we believe in Jesus, yet have no interest in the Bible and the things that Jesus said.

John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We have videos of various television broadcasts on the internet, and sometimes written transcripts of those broadcasts are also made available to us so that we can read what was said. Now think about this, we don’t have to wonder about what Jesus actually said. We have His words recorded and preserved for us in the Bible. We can go to the Bible and find a true record of what transpired when Jesus walked this earth. We can go to the Bible and find out what Jesus really said. That’s amazing! Why should we depend on possibly false second hand information when we can go right to the Bible and read for ourselves what Jesus really said.

Luke 1:1-4 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Today, you and I, like those who lived over two thousand years ago, will make the most important decision that we will ever make. We will make a choice to believe the words of Jesus, or we will make a choice not to believe His words. Our choice will determine our eternal destiny, for only Jesus has the words of eternal life.

John 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

If Jesus walked the earth today, like He did two thousand years ago, would you listen to what He had to say? Would you be one of His followers today?

Acts 28:24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.
