Our lives are busy, busy, busy.

We are concerned about (and distracted by) so many things.

In the process most neglect the most important thing in the whole entire world.

So I ask …

WE’VE A STORY TO TELL TO THE NATIONS

I was looking though a hymnal last night when I came across the hymn below. As I read the words of the hymn it struck me how different the words were from what we’ve been hearing. Dear Christian, there’s “another gospel” being preached out there, a “gospel” void of mercy and compassion.  The Lamb or the wolf, who are we following?

Matthew 9:36-38 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

COME GO WITH ME TO A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN

 A Christian sister in the Lord used to sing a song at evangelistic tent meetings in Trinidad. I first heard her sing it when we started doing nursing home ministry together. I do not know the title or the author. (I’ve posted the lyrics before but wanted to post the tune also.) When we hear that old time religion preached, the faith that was once delivered unto the saints, we rejoice. The Gospel message is a jubilant message of salvation and deliverance, and it is offered to all mankind.

Tent meetings, the Gospel call, good tidings of great joy to all people.

The gospel of peace, bringing glad tidings of good things.

Come go with me to the land over yonder.

Come go with me to a place called heaven.
