SUICIDE – ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED – What have you got to lose?
Your soul.
Revelation 3:11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Deception is a sign of the end times.
Jesus said… “take heed that no man deceive you.”
Matthew 24:3-4 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
If you are a believer and are contemplating suicide, do not be deceived by the “once saved always saved” teaching. Do not believe the lie that you will go to heaven if you take your own life. I encourage you to read the Scriptures and know that the Lord loves you, and will be there for you, to help you through the many trials of this life.
1 Peter 5:7Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
The “once saved always saved” teaching does not make a person more secure in the Lord. It actually makes a person less secure because it negates, makes of no effect, the Lord’s words and warnings that we find in the Scriptures.
Jesus said… “Know ye not this parable?”
Mark 13:14 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
The foolish virgins…
Matthew 25:6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
The lamps of the foolish virgins were gone out, and heaven’s door was closed to them! Their lamps had to have been lit at one time in order for them to have gone out.
If ye continue in my word…
Matthew 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
He that shall endure unto the end…
Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Don’t be a castaway…
Strongs Concordance:
Castaway: unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication worthless (literally or morally): – castaway, rejected, reprobate.
1 Corinthians 9:
24Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Keep the faith, finish your course…
2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Don’t lose your hope…
Romans 8:24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Genuine GRACE…
2 Corinthians 12:8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Romans 6:15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
