There was a church split in our first genuine gospel church. Two of our pastors left and many ministries emptied. I worked in the church office and I absolutely loved doing that. It was sad beyond words to see so many people disappear so suddenly. After we left I was speaking with one of the pastors who also left and telling him that we were having difficulty finding a new church. I told him that our Catholic testimony wasn’t received. He said “then don’t talk about the Catholics.” What?? That was years ago before we realized the depth of infiltration by Roman Catholicism into the Protestant church.
Then there’s the pastor in our local church who told the congregation that the Bible is very clear that the church is to be unified. He went on to name the denominations that we should embrace, and the Catholics were among them. It’s not the first time I’ve heard leaders say that. In fact it seems quite common. It’s a rarity, for me anyway, to hear the contrary.
My husband wears his evangelistic shirts when we go out to run errands. 99+% of the time we are blessed by the words of encouragement from other believers, and there are many of them for sure. A couple approached us yesterday as we left the supermarket. (They invited us to visit their church, but their church embraces Rodney Howard Brown known as the Holy Ghost bartender. He’s also associated with the so called laughing revival. Nope!) When I began to talk about the ecumenical climate in the church there was zero interest. So this is the way it is. Only the Lord knows the grief in our hearts because of what we see going on in our churches today.
Hebrews 13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Jesus most certainly did. It is sad how often the church presents a Jesus that loves you exactly where you are and who you are with no need for repentance and growing in sanctification. May the Lord return to find us with faith in the midst of this crooked, evil, and wicked generation.

Yes, even the “evangelical Protestants” who somewhat agree that the RCC preaches a false gospel will counsel, “Focus on Jesus and the Gospel and allow the Holy Spirit to work out the details.” What a contrast to what evangelical Protestants taught up until the 1950s-1960s.

A major contrast! I wonder what the martyrs would say if they were alive today.

“Don’t talk about the Catholics…” This is the attitude everywhere now. So disheartening for those who have come out of the system and been enlightened!

Yes, Elizabeth. It is everywhere. It really is something to ponder considering believers in the past were willing to be burned alive standing for the truth and against Rome’s false gospel.

The only pure ground upon which we are united is “walking in the light as He is in the light”. Everything else is compromise…
It is often a lonely walk but filled with the richness of a love in Him that defies the logic of the world.
Blessings

Very sad!
You can’t miss the scripture on the t-shirt. People look at it. Hopefully it will prompt someone to google it and find out its true meaning. Many today think baptism is the new birth, even among some Protestants. We’ve talked to a couple of teens who thought that when we were witnessing to them.
